We’ve been drinking Shaw +Smith up here for years. Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW, Australia’s first Master of Wine, started this in 1989, and what they’ve built in the Adelaide Hills is something really special. Elegant, precise cool climate wines that belong at a table worth sitting at.
And this July, Mathilda Hill Smith, Michael’s daughter, the next generation of the family, is flying up especially to be with us. A family legacy, poured at the Timor Sea. We’re very honoured.

Moss Wood Food and Wine Tour
Planted in 1969. One of only a handful of Australian wineries ever to hold 'Exceptional' status in Langton's Classification. The Moss Wood Cabernet is one of the great age-worthy wines this country has produced, the kind that gets pulled out for very special occasions. We are quietly chuffed that we get to pour it here. In the Kimberley. At our table.
We are one of the only venues in Western Australia to be in direct alignment with the Eclipse in 2028, with an anticipated duration of 5 minutes & 10 seconds.
Our intimate package stay is for 4 nights & will include - Return transfers from Darwin to KCC on Paspaley Mallard (Amphibious Aircraft) The Main Event all day on the 22 July 2028 with an evening Eclipse Party under the stars.
Local & Internationally acredited Photographer Nicky Dowling guest speaker and host. Jules bespoke menu of local seasonal produce and catch of the day. Tub will share his many yarns on an entertaining guided culture & art tour.

Intimate Art Tour
Walking into the bush with Tub is a fascinating journey into the Dreamtime stories behind the incredibly preserved rock art he leads you to. At several points having to lie down on the dirt floor of a cave to see the roof, or squeeze through a narrow opening, you will feel privileged to be viewing such a palpable record of indigenous history. Seeing Wandjina art, Bradshaw paintings and Gwion Gwion panels.
I enjoyed my second art tour at KCC so much. The Rock Art around the camp and in the area is incredible. What a privilege to be guided through this amazing country by the indomitable Tubs and enjoying the stunning culinary delights created by Jules. Hope there will be a next time
