We recently spent 2 nights at KCC as part of a 5 night helicopter safari and it was the highlight of our trip. Thank you so much to Jules and Tubs and your offsiders, our time with you was truely a memory of a lifetime. Ray loved his day fishing and I certainly enjoyed my day relaxing. Great company, great food and a great time in a wonderful part of Australia: what more could we want. Thank you again.
First and foremost this was the best fishing trip I have been on, we were a group of 8, most of us have done fishing trips together in the past, so we know a good trip from a not as good trip. KCC was the best so far for me, the fishing was varied and great fun, the crew we had were all well experienced and good guys, we caught many different species of fish which made it even more exciting. But in some ways it was the non fishing activities that made the trip so memorable. On most days at about 4pm we would head back to camp for snacks, a swim and a few beers (its thirsty work catching all these fish!) In the evening a gourmet meal was prepared by Jules, most times this was our own fresh catch of the day…..what more could you ask for? One worthwhile experience for me was the aboriginal art walk, Tubs is the local expert and took us into places most people would never find and told us incredible stories about the history of the land. Not to be outdone by Tubs, Jules is not only a chef extraordinaire but the girl can sing as well (this will embarrass her I’m sure) There is a wonderful campfire site just off the main living pavilion where we would retire to after dinner for way too many wines and best fish of the day stories (some were true!) this was where Jules if coerced enough would unlimber her guitar and sing us some classics. Our sleeping accommodation was very comfortable and as close to sleeping under the stars that you could get, even the ablutions had a view not to be missed! All in all it was an awesome trip, much more than your standard fishing camp, this is a 5 star experience, thanks so much to Jules, Tubs and crew for a great week, I certainly plan to return soon, cheers Rob |
The Kimberley Coastal Camp was perfect and a great place to stay on our first night. Very relaxing and the best hosts and the food was close to the best we have had. Jules and Tub and Macca were so much fun and relaxed really quick. It was great that everyone including Dan and Liam had dinner together. The hike to rock art was amazing and fishing with Tub loads of fun. We would love to return to the Coastal Camp sometime in the future.
I had a fantastic time. Good fishing, great company, relaxing, exceptional cooking. I would love to come back with Jane in near future.
Thanks, Tab
Thank you for your hospitality on our recent trip to your camp It was one of the best trips I have been involved in. You and your staff went out of your way to keep everybody involved in the activities provided.
Whether it was fishing, checking out the local aboriginal rock art or just having a laugh around the camp fire, it was a fantastic experience. The fishing was extraordinary. I caught my first Barramundi and Spanish Mac and the morning we went mud crabbing with Tubby was the one of the funniest experiences of my life, Me and a few mates are talking about planning a trip back to your camp in the near future Once again thank you for a wonderful experience and hope to be back there soon.
We had an awesome time at KCC. You know the fishing is good when even the fish are smiling. Really enjoyed the experience, you should be proud of what you are achieving.
Thanks again for a brilliant week, it was without question the greatest holiday I have had, brilliant company, incredible location, amazing food and plenty of laughs.
We were welcomed with open arms at Kimberley Coastal Camp. Jules and Tubby looked after us so well. We fished, collected oysters, caught mud crabs, explored beautiful unspoilt islands and enjoyed the spoils in the evening. A genuine feast!
We had great times and many laughs. But the best thing is we all share a love of this spectacular country. I do hope to join you again one day, but my memories will last forever.
Coming from Sydney I was not sure what to expect. The natural beauty witnessed from the Coastal Camp was stunning. We walked 30 minutes to witness Aboriginal rock art and their truly amazing culture. Its great exercise and an experience you will not find in Pitt Street Sydney. Caught plenty of massive fish, and working for Toyota I can say “oh what a feeling’. Food was better than the best Sydney restaurants. Go and experience it.
Fantastic Trip. Great food, fish, and hospitality. Keep up the great work! P.S. One of my favourite Kimberley trips ever!
