Tubs and Jules,

This is a belated thanks for just an outstanding trip to your magnificent
Kimberley Coastal Camp from May 29 to June 2.  I was lucky enough to be part
of a group of 14 fishing mates.

From when we booked onto the Paspaley Pearls seaplane in Darwin and until we
left by seaplane the hospitality was beyond outstanding, nothing was ever a
problem and delivered with a smile, a joke or a great Aussie laugh.

We had five days of action-packed fishing, catching heaps of fish, with the
group catching 308 fish (across 33 different species), every day was a new
experience with a different guide across the group.  To be able to pull up
on a secluded deserted beach, or on the stunning Steep Head Island and have
the fish we caught in the morning cooked on a camp stove washed down by a
crisp Pinot Grigio were money you can’t buy experiences.

Then each night the way you Jules were able to transform our catches into
the most amazing meals was amazing.  I hate to think what our 6-star
restaurant meals would have cost in a Sydney restaurant. Particularly the
mud crab feast on the last night. Let alone the inclusion of all the
beautiful wines, beers and spirits to keep us all socially excited across
the five days.

Tubs, I can safely say the entire group was very happy you recommended the
cultural walk, everyone left with a far deeper understanding of our first
nations people and their amazing history and heritage that you delivered
with such a deep knowledge, understanding and you could feel your personal
passion for the local tribe.  Quite inspirational.

We all loved the simplicity and uniqueness of our accommodation, and the
pool was a great way to refresh after the days fishing.  What more  could
you ask for!!!

And before closing I must call out Macca who I was lucky enough to have as
my guide for two days, he was an outstanding guide, who was patient and
willing to spend time making our group on each day better fisherman whilst
also catching some great fish.  I can honestly say I reckon I learnt more
from Macca in 2 days than the previous five trips to other places.
(Tubs, just for the record you weren’t a bad guide either)

KCC in simple terms exceeded all expectations and over delivered on all
fronts. What a fishing trip!!!! We will be back.

Thanks for everything.

Hi Tub & Jules

I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to you both for the most amazing stay at KCC. The amount of effort, energy, passion and patience that you showed was unbelievable and it was very special to be a part of this. Tub, I feel so fortunate to have heard just a few of the indigenous stories and I am honoured to have heard it from someone who is so connected and a part of the local leadership group. Jules, the food was out of this world and none of the detail or effort was lost on us. The group is getting together at my place soon and I will be “Cooking in Thongs” and sharing memories. I thoroughly enjoyed our sing-song and I only wish I had come better prepared. What a voice!

Tommy, Joel and Macca were outstanding. Their knowledge and patience was also endless and all of the boys appreciated their guidance, attention to detail and the long days they put in to ensure that we all had a fantastic time.

The experience has touched me deeply and it will be something that our group will talk about forever. What a great team and what a very special place. I will most certainly endeavour to make it back to see you guys.

All the best.

Dear Tub & Jules

We would like to thank you both for your remarkable hospitality during our stay at KCC.

Your never ending smiles, friendliness and entertaining chatter, throughout our stay, to all guests was amazing while at the same time working tirelessly as we all relaxed.

The professional knowledge and conduct of Maca, Tom & Joel was 1st class and we have no doubt Aliesa will benefit greatly from her time at KCC.

Our experience at KCC far outweighed our expectations and will remain at the top of our list of unique destinations that we have been lucky enough to visit in this country.

The mix of activities was well organised, and pleasing to see that KCC is suitable also for couples regardless of their fishing skills.

Jules, the food was amazing and you should be proud of your ability to prepare such amazing meals in such a remote area of the Kimberley… the cookbook has been read front to back already.

Tub, your passion for the Admiralty Gulf has certainly been an important power behind the progression of KCC… well done.

We hope that you both manage to take a regular break in the future, as we both know from personal experience, that burnout can creep up unexpectedly for self-operated businesses.

Jordie, thanks for assuring us of the suitability of KCC for Vicki’s enjoyment also.

We will return, if we aren’t on the black list, but until that time, we continue to rave to family, friends and others, about a special place that we truly loved.

Thanks again.

Dear Tub , Jules and the rest of the KCC team
Thank you for sharing your magical water wonderland with us and showing us some of your hidden gems.

It’s difficult to say what I enjoyed the most …The lunches on the beach of our catch of the day! The sightings of manta rays, dolphins, sharks, crocs, sea eagles, the mud crab netting, World class dinners or the bush walk and aboriginal art lesson. And I haven’t even mentioned the fishing !
All incredible experiences on their own, but collectively, a once in a lifetime trip!

KCC is not only a spectacular playground ,but your home  and I thank you for sharing it with us in such a warm and uncomplicated manner
I loved it , as we all did, and I hope our paths cross again in the not too distant future.

Thankyou to Jules Tubes  Chris and Jordie for a wonderful experience coming to KCC.

It was so much more than we ever imagined.

It is a very special place and that you enable us to share it with you is incredible.

The food was wonderful and I would like to know if Jules would share her recipe for red bean chocolate cake!

Cheers Ingrid and Cameron

Travelling with family and friends I have just visited one of the most beautiful places you can visit where days resemble postcards and nights show the beauty of the stars. The camp is run by Jules and Tubs; Jules delivering quality restaurant meals and Tubs memorable fishing and bush experiences. From the moment you arrive, in itself an adventure, you relax. Put your phones away as they don’t work out there and replace it with a cold drink and quickly the magic of the Kimberley will relax you; it is a very amazing place and one of the planets hidden gems. We stayed for 6 days and each day we went fishing or walking to art sites dating back 30,000 years. The fishing was exceptional and over the course of the week we caught Barramundi (one over the magical metre mark), Queen fish,Snapper, Trevally, Tuna and many more species. A few first time fishers amongst us quickly caught trophy fish and at no stage did we sit idle. After a long morning fishing we went to a nearby beach where Tubs and his helpers cooked the fresh catch in what was a day highlight; each day the fish was cooked differently and each day it was exceptional. After a days fishing we returned to camp where Jules and her small team took over. Whilst we cooled off in the pool with a drink in hand nibbles were served before we drifted off to shower and get ready for dinner. The food at the Camp was way above my expectations. Breakfast was hot or cold (up to you) and dinner was a sit-down extravaganza with food you would be happy to eat in the finest of restaurants. There was always more food than you can eat and the nearby fridges stocked for the biggest of thirsts. The camp itself is casual and clean; the perfect mix for total relaxation. The rooms are basic with a comfortable bed on a shell grit floor. The ceiling fan kept the temperature at a comfortable level to sleep and the mesh windows kept all bugs out; they were not an issue at all. Waking up to the sun rise in the Kimberley is something everybody should experience; it is WOW. It is a place we will definitely visit again and our thanks to Jules, Tubs, Troy, Jonas, Brenton, Katie and Simon for making our stay so memorable. April 2019

Well, I hardly know where to begin.  We’ve returned to civilization and it has hit like a sledge hammer.  Jacko & I wanted to write, to again say a very special “Thank you” and express our huge gratitude for the welcoming way you embraced our crew.  We truly had the most wonderful time.  The memories, giggles, fishing, adventures, beach lunches, Jules incredibly delicious food, the rock art walk, crabbing, the night around the camp fire singing with Jules …. the stories … the list could go on forever …  will remain indelible in our minds for life.  You are both – a truly unique duo and an absolute asset to the Kimberley region.  What a magical part of the world it is – and it now, certainly has a very special place in our hearts.

We left with happy hearts – on a trip of a lifetime …. But I know that one day we’ll be back.

Our very best wishes to you both and your KCC family.

Take wonderful care

Kind Regards
