Cancellation By Us
Events outside our control: If a tour cannot proceed due to flood, earthquake, war or civil strife, acts of terrorism, hurricane, cyclone, industrial disturbance, strike, fire, lock out, epidemic, pandemic, failure or delays of scheduled transportation facilities, or other acts of god, or any law, order, decree, rule or regulation of any government authority, or for any reason whether of a similar or dissimilar nature beyond the control of Kimberley Coastal Camp (Force Majeure), our contract with you will terminate and there will be no claim for damages by either party against the other, provided that we will refund you any payments made by you that we have not expended (or legally committed to expend) minus an administrative fee of $200 per person. Insurance

We STRONGLY recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel, medical and cancellation insurance. Unforeseen circumstances may require you to change your booking, cancel at the last minute, or even leave the camp earlier than expected. In the unfortunate case that a medical evacuation is required for an emergency or ill health, it is the responsibility of the guest to ensure you have insurance to cover such an eventuality.

Liability

Although all precautions are taken, Kimberley Coastal Camp will accept no responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to personal effects, or expenses incurred as a result of any delay, cancellation or alteration of any service due to circumstances beyond our control.

Any medical emergency costs i.e. RFDS will be payable by the client.

You must be fully aware that KIMBERLEY COASTAL CAMP is a remote area and does not offer the normal safety and protection which is found in cities or country towns.  Despite our best efforts to keep you safe, there are certain risks and responsibilities that you need to accept.

Transfers & Payload

Transfers are based on an average weight of 95kg/person including luggage. This is the kg/person used when quoted. If you or group are larger than this please confirm this with us at time of enquiry or when quoted.

Luggage is limited to a maximum of 10kg per person and must be a soft bag.  This is for a requirement of the Charter companies.

Any aircraft upgrades or additional flying required as a direct result of passenger weights or luggage exceeding the above recommendations shall be at the cost of the passengers.

Please note all quotes are made with current charter rates, any increases or changes by your travel date may result in an increase in transfer costs. We always offer the most cost effective transfer costs at time of quote. We reserve the right to use the excess payload on all charters bookings in any way we see fit.

Commercial Flights

Allow 2-3 hours’ minimum between incoming charter flights and commercial connections.

Please discuss commercial flight times with us prior to booking as we can offer several options with connecting charter flights.

Kimberley Coastal Camp will accept no responsibility for missed commercial flights due to cancellation or alteration of any service due to circumstances beyond our control i.e. weather conditions or charter flight delays.

Children

Children are aged 2-12 years old.  13+ years old are charged at full rate.

We are sure you understand that KCC is a great place for kids, but due to the fact that it is very remote it is paramount for children to be supervised at all times. We ask that you undertake to be responsible for your child’s safety and whereabouts 24 hours a day.

We don’t supply cots, but our rooms can be configured to take an extra bed so children can share with their parents.  Depending on your child’s size and weight it may be possible to save on chopper transfers by having him/her in a special harness on your lap. We’ve had many young children travel on a number of occasions this way and they love it!

What to Bring Guidelines

Your baggage is strictly limited to a maximum of 10kg per person. If your bag is overweight, you may be asked to unpack and leave items behind.

Please pack in a soft bag. It will fit into small aircraft luggage compartments more easily.

Personal toiletries. Sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, soap and insect repellent are provided.

Light casual clothing – (e.g. shorts and shirts – cotton is best).  A light cardi for cool nights June to August. Light long pants are good for bushwalking. Leave the tux and tiara behind.

Hat and sunglasses

Walking boots or runners. Thongs or sandals for around the camp.

The latest newspaper for Tub & Jules to catch up on the happenings in the world, (they still think Julia Gillard is PM)!!

If guests have any medical equipment or want to bring their own fishing gear, please contact us to discuss.

Phone, Internet & the News

We do not have mobile or Wi-Fi internet reception at the camp. You may bring your own satellite phone if you would like to be in constant contact. We do not receive daily newspapers. Our daily news is delivered via bird call and wildlife sightings. Once you arrive we promise the feeling of being unplugged and not in constant contact with the outside world will be surreal yet a fantastic feeling!

In case you do need to be contacted or for emergencies we have a landline at the main camp. If the office is unattended a message can be left and is checked several times a day.
