Thankyou to Jules Tubes  Chris and Jordie for a wonderful experience coming to KCC.

It was so much more than we ever imagined.

It is a very special place and that you enable us to share it with you is incredible.

The food was wonderful and I would like to know if Jules would share her recipe for red bean chocolate cake!

Cheers Ingrid and Cameron

Travelling with family and friends I have just visited one of the most beautiful places you can visit where days resemble postcards and nights show the beauty of the stars. The camp is run by Jules and Tubs; Jules delivering quality restaurant meals and Tubs memorable fishing and bush experiences. From the moment you arrive, in itself an adventure, you relax. Put your phones away as they don’t work out there and replace it with a cold drink and quickly the magic of the Kimberley will relax you; it is a very amazing place and one of the planets hidden gems. We stayed for 6 days and each day we went fishing or walking to art sites dating back 30,000 years. The fishing was exceptional and over the course of the week we caught Barramundi (one over the magical metre mark), Queen fish,Snapper, Trevally, Tuna and many more species. A few first time fishers amongst us quickly caught trophy fish and at no stage did we sit idle. After a long morning fishing we went to a nearby beach where Tubs and his helpers cooked the fresh catch in what was a day highlight; each day the fish was cooked differently and each day it was exceptional. After a days fishing we returned to camp where Jules and her small team took over. Whilst we cooled off in the pool with a drink in hand nibbles were served before we drifted off to shower and get ready for dinner. The food at the Camp was way above my expectations. Breakfast was hot or cold (up to you) and dinner was a sit-down extravaganza with food you would be happy to eat in the finest of restaurants. There was always more food than you can eat and the nearby fridges stocked for the biggest of thirsts. The camp itself is casual and clean; the perfect mix for total relaxation. The rooms are basic with a comfortable bed on a shell grit floor. The ceiling fan kept the temperature at a comfortable level to sleep and the mesh windows kept all bugs out; they were not an issue at all. Waking up to the sun rise in the Kimberley is something everybody should experience; it is WOW. It is a place we will definitely visit again and our thanks to Jules, Tubs, Troy, Jonas, Brenton, Katie and Simon for making our stay so memorable. April 2019

Well, I hardly know where to begin.  We’ve returned to civilization and it has hit like a sledge hammer.  Jacko & I wanted to write, to again say a very special “Thank you” and express our huge gratitude for the welcoming way you embraced our crew.  We truly had the most wonderful time.  The memories, giggles, fishing, adventures, beach lunches, Jules incredibly delicious food, the rock art walk, crabbing, the night around the camp fire singing with Jules …. the stories … the list could go on forever …  will remain indelible in our minds for life.  You are both – a truly unique duo and an absolute asset to the Kimberley region.  What a magical part of the world it is – and it now, certainly has a very special place in our hearts.

We left with happy hearts – on a trip of a lifetime …. But I know that one day we’ll be back.

Our very best wishes to you both and your KCC family.

Take wonderful care

Kind Regards

When we were considering a trip to the Kimberley, we read all the reviews about K.C.C. and everybody said what a magnificent place it was – well they were right! We have just had the absolute pleasure of spending 7 days in the most beautiful part of the Kimberley. From the moment we stepped onto the beach from the Float Plane, to our departure in the helicopter, we were totally blown away by the scenery, the fishing, the food and the hospitality of the K.C.C. team. Tub and Jules really are two of the most amazing people we have ever met – we only spent 7 days with them but left feeling that we had known them for years! Everybody raves about Jules’ meals and so they should – the food really is superb! Tub is so much fun to be with both out on the water and around the camp and his passion for the Kimberley, it’s people and their artwork showed a genuine appreciation of the local indigenous culture. Lauren, Jack, Caitlin and Brenton looked after our every need and we felt like “royalty”. Jack helping Jo catch her first ever Barra was a great moment to cherish! There was so many highlights – big Queenies, big Tuna, “Kimberley Carp”, mud crabs, pulling up a croc in the crab net, Barra fishing at dawn – but the most enjoyable time was spent sitting down in the evening with great people, a beautiful meal, a few cold ales, lots of chatter, deep and meaningful discussions and heaps of laughter while watching the magnificent sunsets. Our thanks go to all the K.C.C. team for making this a holiday we will never forget. Kimberley Coastal Camp truly is an amazing part of the world and hopefully we will be back again in the not too distant future!
Cheers

For thirty years we dreamed of a far north fishing adventure – that once in a lifetime experience, and after arriving by helicopter, Kimberley Coastal Camp did not disappoint. Under Tubs and his offsider Russ’ expert guidance, we caught or collected around 30 species of fish, oysters and mud crabs using their quality equipment and well appointed boats. The boys are quick with a knot and the bait supply.

Jules transformed our catches into five-star restaurant cuisine, deliciously prepared and presented, and Tubs didn’t do a bad job with the lunches while we on the water, arriving on deserted islands and beaches and cooking our morning catch. The open bar package contained quality beers, wines and spirits which complimented the days on the water, the beautiful meals and evenings around the campfire.

The cultural walk was a highlight – with Tubs passing on his knowledge and passion. With this he keeps the stories alive and they were incredible, and so genuine.

The accommodation was chic rustic and comfortable in every way with discrete natural ornamental touches throughout.

We will re-live the experiences from this trip for many years to come – big fish, songs around the camp, great stories and laughter every day and night. Thanks Tubs, Jules and Russ for giving us the greatest fishing experience of our lives/

Spent a week with my husband, his 3 brothers and their wives, at the KCC and loved every minute. Worth the five flights to get there and then five more to come home. Lots of fishing, mud crabs and deserted island visits. Fabulous meals created by Jules each day from our catches and lots of laughs from Tub. Jonas and Adele also made us welcome and we didn’t “want’ for anything. So well looked after that it was hard to come home to reality. The camp retains it’s remote bush feel but still offers clean rooms and amenities. Feel privileged to have been able to experience this rugged and beautiful part of Australia for a week.

We recently spent 2 nights at KCC as part of a 5 night helicopter safari and it was the highlight of our trip. Thank you so much to Jules and Tubs and your offsiders, our time with you was truely a memory of a lifetime. Ray loved his day fishing and I certainly enjoyed my day relaxing. Great company, great food and a great time in a wonderful part of Australia: what more could we want. Thank you again.
