Kimberley Coastal Camp is one of the few places in the world where you can enjoy fabulous scenery, gourmet food, comfortable accommodation, ancient rock art and Spectacular Fishing.
The benchmark in remote location tropical sportsfishing, Kimberley Coastal Camp is situated right on the edge of the pristine waters of Admiralty Gulf in the far north Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Even by Kimberley standards, Kimberley Coastal Camp is isolated. With access only by helicopter and numbers restricted, fishing here is for the privileged few.
Fish these abundant waters for Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Finger Mark, Mulloway, Threadfin Salmon, Giant Trevally, Spanish Mackerel, Tuna, Queen Fish, Coral Trout, Blue Bone and numerous other tropical species.
Fish all day every day or maybe after a morning’s fishing take your catch ashore on a deserted island fringed with boab trees and have your host and guide cook it for you ‘bush style’ on the coals. Spend some time plucking succulent Oysters off the rocks or delicious Mud Crabs from the mangrove lined creeks.
Kimberley Coastal Camp operates on a ‘catch and release’ basis, with only those fish destined for the table being retained from the day’s catch.
Kimberley Coastal Camp has experienced and knowledgeable guides to ensure your northern fishing adventure exceeds expectations. Whether it is tropical sportsfishing incorporating lure casting, salt water fly fishing or the use of natural baits this is wilderness fishing at its best.
Huge tidal rivers together with mangrove creeks, estuaries, flats, off shore reefs and islands as well as blue water, ensure an exciting variety of fishing options.
Kimberley Coastal Camp supplies quality tackle on a replace if lost basis but bring your own if you prefer. Generally 8, 10, and 15 kilo baitcasting and spincasting tackle and 8, 10 and 12 weight saltwater fly gear are fished. |
